Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County is pleased to offer a hoof trimming workshop. Topics to be addressed during the workshop
include: a review of hoof anatomy, recognizing lame cows earlier, as well as an introduction
to basic trimming techniques. Participants will have an opportunity to practice the techniques
demonstrated following the class room portion with all necessary equipment being provided.
Information on the NY State Cattle Health Assurance Program (NYSCHAP) Animal Welfare
Module will also be discussed. The workshop will take place at Vaill Brothers Farm located on
Rt. 26 in Vernon.
Class
size is limited to 15 participants. The cost to attend is $40.00 and includes lunch. Registration
