East Utica Classic

1:00AM

All proceeds donated to the Heffron Family. This year’s event will take place at Valley View Golf Course. This event begins at 1:00p.m. The Annual East Utica Classic Charity Golf Tournament has selected the Heffron Family to be the beneficiary of all proceeds of this year’s tournament. Kyla Heffron, 3, is recovering from a bone marrow transplant on March 21st. The transplant was the only treatment that could cure Kyla of an extremely rare and potentially deadly autoimmune disorder, severe aplastic anemia, in which the bone marrow stops making enough blood cells. The family includes her mother, father Brian (who took a leave of absence from his job as a social studies teacher in Fulton), brother Killian, 5, and brother Karston, six months. Kyla’s grandparents, Howard and Janet Heffron, live in New Hartford. More information about Kyla’s journey since diagnosed a year ago has been documented on a Fight4Kyla Facebook page and on a www.youcaring.com crowd-funding page as well as at www.euclassic.com. The Annual East Utica Classic Charity Golf Tournament was started in 2011 by Rocco Cornacchia and Joe Cracchiolo, along with the help of many other residents of East Utica, as a way to gather people together to help support local community members while having an event that is entertaining and encompasses the very best nature of those who call East Utica home. Hole sponsorship begins at $50. For more information on how to donate, including dinner tickets, please contact Rocco Cornacchia at 315-941-1129, by email rcorn771@gmail.com, or go to www.euclassic.com
