Charity Run

8:00AM

The 2nd Annual Amsterdam PBA Cops and Joggers 5K at Mohawks Stadium,63 Crescent Ave. in Amsterdam. There will also be a kids eventbeginning at 11:30 at Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam. Race dayregistration is from 8 to 9:30 and the cost is $25. A portion of theentry fee will be donated to a local charity.

4th Annual Community Health & Wellness Fair

From 9:00AM to 12:00PM

This is a joint health fair, free to the community, and sponsored by the Fort Plain Central School and Canajoharie Central School. This year it is being held at the East Hill Elementary in Canajoharie. The day features health screenings, ZUMBA classes, information booths, giveaways, healthy cooking demonstrations and tastings, and so much more!

Farmers Market

From 9:00AM to 2:00PM

The Taste of the Mohawk Valley Farmers Market returns to Alpin House, Route 5S in Amsterdam. Farmers market goodies include meats, cheeses, eggs, maple products, baked goods, gifts and more!

Family Fun Day

From 11:00AM to 4:00PM

The Domestic Violence Program of Herkimer County presents “Peace In the Park”, a day of music, food and activities for the whole family at Russell Park in Ilion. There will be an open mic session and a display of artwork by local students. Admission is free.

Benefit for David Hazzard, Sr.

1:00PM

Benefit for David Hazzard, Sr. at Dolgeville Rod & Gun Club, Peckville Rd., Dolgeville. Food, live music, Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. $10.00 Singe/$15 Couple David has recently had an above-knee amputation and continues to suffer from kidney failure. John Denver Tribute Dinner Show

From 6:00PM to 8:30PM

The Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church will present Don Golden in a John Denver Tribute Dinner Show. The event will be held at the Masonic Temple, 34 Division Street, Amsterdam, and will feature a chicken and biscuit dinner with homemade dessert. A raffle will also be held. Policeman's Ball

6:00PM

The Rome Police Department is hosting a charity Policeman’s Ball at the Beeches Inn and Conference Center. There will be a cocktail hour from 6 to 7 followed by dinner at 7. The cost if $60 per person and is open to the public with proceeds benefiting “The Rome Shop With A Cop”program.
