"Ghosts of the Past" Tours

From 6:00PM to 8:00PM

“Ghosts of the Past” Walking Tours at Green Hill Cemetery in Amsterdam. Do you have the courage to walk the historic Green Hill Cemetery in the dark? Are you interested in learning more about the people who lived in Amsterdam in the 19th and early 20th centuries - and may have decided to stay around and keep a watchful eye on their city? Tours start at Amsterdam City Hall, 61 Church Street, where parking will be available and ticket holders will check in and receive a voucher with their tour time. The tour assignments are on a first come, first served basis so please plan to arrive early. “Ghosts of the Past” Tours will begin promptly at 6:00 P.M. with a new tour departing approximately every 20 minutes until 8:00 P.M. and will last approximately 45 minutes. Sturdy walking shoes are recommended as the tour will be over uneven ground in Green Hill Cemetery. While you’re waiting for your tour, or after your return, there will be plenty to do at City Hall. There will be ghostly stories to listen to, a palm reader, psychics, and free refreshments. For more information please check out our website at www.historicamsterdam.org or call Betty Clough at 518-843-6770. Thank you.
