Ken Waldman - Alaska's Fiddling Poet

From 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Come join us at the Frankfort Free Library, 123 South Frankfort St., Frankfort.

Ken Waldman combines Appalachian fiddle music, storytelling and original poetry, (plus poetry written by children) for an interactive program that is both entertaining AND educational. According to Angela Seals, Program Manager of the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, "He stands out for his truly warm and friendly spirit, reminiscent of Fred Rogers."

The Austin Chronicle had this to say; "Ken Waldman, Alaska's Fiddling Poet, is back in town with a new CD and his wondrous energy...Feels like a Ken Burns movie. So American. Imagine an America that can hold Eminem and Waldman, Sweet!, as my girls say. Always recommended."

The event is free to the public and brought to you by The Artist in Residency Program of Rome Capital Theater and Poets & Writers of the New York State Council on the Arts.
