Tractor Fest at the Farmers' Museum

From 10:00AM to 4:00PM

Learn about the world of tractors and all the activities they powered on New York farms. See classic and new tractors, small engines, and other machinery, representing the growth of farming technology from the 1920s. On Sunday, tractors parade down Main Street in Cooperstown, beginning at 9:30 am. See tractors at work thrashing oats and baling oat straw with a 1918 Case hay press. Kiddie Pedal-Tractor Pull contest on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Small engines will be on display too, such as a Maytag engine, a quarter scale drag saw, and a 1/12 scale Case traction engine. For people with a dairy farming background, fond memories will rush back in the exhibit of antique milking machines. People interested in poultry will have a chance to meet Bill Post and his array of heritage poultry breeds. Tractor Fest is free with paid museum admission: $12 adults (age 13+), $10.50 seniors (65+), $6 children (7-12), children 6 and under and members of the New York State Historical Association are free. 5th Annual Kuyahoora Valley Fall Festival

From 11:00AM to 6:00PM

This event will is presented by the Kuyahoora Valley Chamber of Commerce at the Russia Town Park in Poland (behind the Post Office).

*Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 6: 11 - 9pm & Oct. 7: 10 - 6pm.*

There will be a haunted house, 5K run, local crafters, music, food and fireworks by Majestics of Clinton at the completion of the final soccer game on Saturday.

Annual Roast Beef Dinner

From 3:00PM to 7:00PM

The North Bush Methodist Church in Caroga Lake will host it's annual Roast Beef Dinner at the Wheelerville Union Free School, 2417 State Highway 10.

A dinner of roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, squash, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and rolls will be served family style. An assortment of beverages and homemade desserts will be available to complete the meal. Tickets will be available only at the door, adults - $10, children under 12 - $5 and children under 5 free.

An Evening of Good Taste - Pasta and Wine Pairings

From 6:00PM to 9:00PM

The event will take place at St. Patrick's Masonic Temple, 22 North Street, Johnstown. There will be pasta dishes from several local restaurants paired with an array of wines, a gifts & services silent auction, a Weekend in the Adirondacks Package to bid on & more!

The restaurants offering their pasta dishes include 391 South Main, Chef Lomanto's Kitchen, Gianna's, The Rail Yard at Pine Brook, Sam's Steak and Seafood and Wine and Roses. Pairing their wines with the pasta dishes is the Hummingbird Hills Winery of Fultonville. An award will be given to the favorite pasta dish, as well as, the favorite wine. To round out the evening, four local musicians will be performing together as a jazz quartet.

Advance tickets may be purchased at the Fulton County Chamber, the Mohawk Co-op Market, both in Gloversville or any Habitat for Humanity Board member.

42nd Acoustic Coffee House

From 6:30PM to 10:00PM

The 42nd all free Acoustic Coffee House will be held in the downstairs of the Fultonville Methodist Church on Montgomery Street in Fultonville.

There is no admission and no donation. Acoustic Coffee House is a no alcohol event and is open to all types of music as long as there is NO Vulgarity, it doesn’t offend anyone and there are acoustic instruments only, (Bongos, shakers and tambourines good replacements for drums). Continue to celebrate the our 4th year with us!

If you can’t make it at 6:30, that’s OK there is a new performer every 9 - 13 minutes on average.

Ayres Animal Shelter Wine Tour

From 7:30PM to 8:30PM

Bus Trip to four wineries in the St. Lawrence Seaway wine country. We will depart from the Dutchtown Plaza parking lot in Palatine Bridge.

Enjoy "Leaf-Peeping" and Wine Tasting and Tours Wineries included: Tug Hill, Coyote Moon, Yellow Barn, and Otter Creek. Tickets are $65.00 per person to benefit the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter in Sprakers.
