Forum on Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock

From 9:00AM to 12:00PM

Ruffed grouse and woodcock, two common gamebirds of the Northeast, will be the focus of a special forum to be held at the White Otter Fish and Game Club at 10914 Woodgate.

The program will feature presentations arranged by the Ruffed Grouse Society, which is co-sponsoring the event.

Preferred habitat of these two birds, their life cycle, tips for locating them and more will highlight the morning sessions.

After lunch (included in the $5.00 admission cost) will be demonstrations with bird dogs and gamebird cookery.

Fly tier William Swiac will be making hand tied flies from grouse feathers throughout the program and one will be presented to every youth attendee. Other activities for young people will also be available and door prizes will be drawn.

Questions regarding the program may be addressed to Ruffed Grouse Society's Tripp Way at (607) 743-0760 or White Otter Secretary Alan Woodruff at (315) 392-4592.
