  All Day Third Annual Peck’s Lake Challenge   The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Peck’s Lake Protective Association (PLPA) are presenting the Third Annual Peck’s Lake Challenge Sprint Triathlon to be staged at Sunrise Bay on Peck’s Lake in Fulton County, NY on Saturday, August 4. The event is comprised of a ½ mile swim, a 9 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run. The Peck’s Lake Challenge Sprint Triathlon event is limited to 175 total athletes; in the past, the event was sold out two weeks prior. Entry forms can be found on the Chamber’s website, www.fultoncountyny.org, calling the Fulton County Chamber at (518) 725-0641, or by sending a request via e-mail to info@fultoncountyny.org. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the NOAH (Needy or Alone and Hungry) Program, located at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Johnstown, NY, a volunteer organization that serves free meals every Sunday.
 
  All Day Softball Tournament   3rd annual Raymond P. Sinnott 14th kid Memorial Foundtion Softball Tournament. This is a softball tournament that is non-profit and we raise money for Veterans. We have raffles, food, a family friendly event at Wankel Park, South Utica.
 
  All Day Oppenheim Town-Wide Garage Sales   Oppenheim Historical Society will be hosting town-wide garage sales on Route 29 between Dolgeville and Johnstown. This years proceeds from Railfest will go to the Gloversville Little Huskies Football League Inc. to help them purchase new equipment. There will be all kinds of good food, rides, games, raffles, crafts and entertainment all throughout the day. His family is doing a benefit at the Masonic temple Bridge street, St. Johnsville. The benefit is to help with the cost of treatments and any on going medical expenses. Food, Chinese auction, music, bake sale, auction.

  6:00PM 8:00PM Chamber of Commerce 18th annual fundraiser   The Fulton County Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry has announced that tickets are on sale for its 18th annual fundraiser to help their work in promoting the Fulton County region to visitors. The $10,000 “Bet on Fulton County Raffle” drawing will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, 308 N. Comrie Avenue, Johnstown, NY. Tickets are available for $100 each and only 300 will be sold. Funds raised from the raffle will be used by the Tourism Department for marketing and advertising Fulton County to prospective visitors throughout the year, and for promoting events that benefit our region.
